About us

The Interdisciplinary Centre for Cognitive Language Studies (ICCLS) was founded at LMU Munich in 2005.

ICCLS offers researchers from different disciplines – including linguistics, language didactics, psychology, neurology and neuroscience, as well as literary studies – a platform for exchange. It encourages them to establish and maintain interdisciplinary cooperations and to realize cross-disciplinary research projects.

All ICCLS members share an interest in investigating cognitive aspects of language – its use, system, acquisition, teaching and learning.

ICCLS invites researchers from other universities and research facilities to participate as members and/or as cooperation partners in specific research projects (for more information, contact Elisabeth Huber, iccls@lmu.de).
